Draft, pending Kreta's final legal review.
This page outlines Kreta's actual data practices so the app can go live, but Kreta hasn't yet approved it as the company's official policy. It will be replaced with Kreta's reviewed text.
Your name, photo, country, city, timezone, professional role and company, a short bio, the skills, interests and conversation goals you pick, your LinkedIn and other profile links, and the Friday times you're available.
To match you with one other member a week based on shared interests, goals and overlapping availability, and to run that week's video conversation. We don't use your data for advertising, and we never sell it.
You. Your current or most recent match sees your public profile (not your email). Kreta admins can see member data to run the service and handle reports. There's no member directory and no public search — the only way to see another member is to be matched with them.
Your data is never used to train AI systems. We use Amazon Web Services to host the app and database, Amazon SES to send email, and Daily to run video calls. Each only processes what it needs to do its job.
You can unsubscribe from weekly emails at any time, block or report a match, and delete your account and personal data from your profile settings. Deleting your account anonymises your past match history rather than erasing the other member's record of it.
Kreta has members in Nigeria, the United States and elsewhere. We apply the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and the GDPR for members in the EU or UK.
Friday conversations aren't recorded by Kreta.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to hello@kretahq.com.
